According to Michael Wolff, MySpace could be the undoing of News Corp whom, he says, has no idea about technology. He also refers to the acquisition as a ‘relative calamity’ for News Corp.
Harsh words, Wolff knows Rupert Murdoch pretty well. He’s his biographer. Perhaps he has inside information on the big man’s opinion of arguably his worst business decision to date. The laying off of a third of its US-based staff is testament to that.
I’d personally be pretty sad if MySpace were to die completely. It’s there where I met the love of my life.
